Major and Minor Subdivision Applications
Use by Review Permit Applications and Rezoning/Variance Applications

Please be informed that at 7:00 p.m. on September 21, 2020 in the Rocky Ford City Council Chambers, located at 203 South Main Street in Rocky Ford, Colorado, the Otero County Planning Commission will hold a public hearing for the following as required by the Otero County Land Use Code, as the same affects the property situated in the County of Otero and the State of Colorado:

A Minor Subdivision request to split off 1.81 acres from 6.24 acres in an Agriculture Zoned District (A-1). A tract of land lying in the SE1/4NW1/4 of Section 4, Township 24S., Range 55W. of the 6th P.M.  The property is commonly addressed as 24620 Cuchara, La Junta, CO.  The owner of record is Otero Estates, LLC and the applicant is Kelly Huddleston.

A Minor Subdivision request to split off .88 acres from 1.99 acres in Residential Zoned District (R-1).  Part of the NE1/4 of Section 10, Township 24S., Range 55W. of the 6th P.M.  The property is commonly addressed as 621 W. 8th Street, La Junta.  The owner of record is Doris K. Eberly and the applicant is The City of La Junta.

A Use by Review request to have a construction and aggregate processing business in an Agriculture Zoned District (A-1).  Part of Section 31, Township 23S., Range 55W. of the 6th P.M.  The property is commonly addressed as 25465 US Highway 50, Swink, CO.  The owner of record is Caleb Goodwin and the applicant is Jose Barboza.

A Use by Review request to have two horses or two cows and four sheep or four goats in a Residential Zoned District (R-1). A tract of land lying in the Fowler Dunton Subdivision of Section 20, Township 22S., Range 59W. of the 6th P.M.  The property is commonly addressed as 216 W. Swink, Fowler, CO.  The owner of record is the Dale W. Bandy and Sarah C. Bandy Revocable Intervivos Trust and Scott Bandy (Personal Representative) as applicant.

The Otero County Commissioners will hold a public hearing regarding the above referenced applications on the September 28, 2020 at 1:30 p.m. in the Boardroom of the Otero County Commissioners, located in the Otero County Courthouse, Room 107, La Junta, Colorado.

Any person may appear before said Otero County Planning Commission and/or Board of County Commissioners, at the time and place stated above, to be heard on the above referenced Applications.

Planning Commission Board will meet at 6:00 p.m. for work session.
